Q My husband is happy to talk about everyday things, but he won’t talk to me about his feelings. I feel we scarcely communicate, yet he tells friends we talk all the time. We never seem to be able to resolve things, and I always seem to be the one saying, “we need to talk”. He rarely gets mad about things, but shuts down when he is upset so I know he does get down sometimes, about family or work. So why won’t he talk to me?
