In a relationship it is usual for partners to have different ways of feeling loved. Whilst many see sex as the ultimate bonding in a relationship, a sexual relationship is actually a continuum of bonding behaviors, including communication and self disclosure, which enhances feelings of emotional intimacy. This leads to a desire for more physical intimacy, expressed as affection and sensuality and then on to sex (which can be a broad range of sexual behaviors).
