We feel our emotions in varying intensities. Review our list of emotion words and intensities here. Often men will feel their emotions at high intensity levels and act on them, without realizing that their emotions have already passed through several levels of intensity where they could have used interventions to prevent emotions rising to extremes. Women generally feel their emotions at low intensities quite easily and are more aware of the physical changes taking place in their bodies very early. In the table below, we provide the emotions experienced by two people (person A & B) who passed through emotional chains following trauma.
