Early in 1993, after successfully graduating with a Bachelor of Theology degree the previous year, and in anticipation of continuing to complete two final years of post-graduate study in pastoral ministry, I received a letter from the principal of the seminary I had attended. He wrote to advise me that a decision had been made some two years earlier by the seminary faculty, that I be excluded from public ministry. This decision, up until then, had never been communicated to me. It was revealed only after I had applied for readmission to the post-graduate course.
